Many strides have been made in renewable energy development over recent years, largely driven by federal incentives and investments in the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that have spurred new projects. However, the landscape is shifting, and new limitations are being enacted at the federal level. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act limits eligibility for renewable energy tax credits, and a recent executive order instructed the implementation of the new limitations to be accelerated. The U.S. Department of the Treasury released guidance in August clarifying new standards for construction of renewable energy projects that would be eligible for tax credits.

Join the Environmental Law Institute and expert panelists for a CLE webinar to provide attorneys with the most up-to-date developments on this topic. What changes have been made to the eligibility requirements for the renewable energy tax credits originally introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act? How might solar and wind energy developers be affected? What does this mean for the future of renewable energy development and the energy transition? We will explore these questions and many more.
