ELI has worked with governments both locally and internationally to help governments navigate creating communities that are resilient to the effects of climate change.
Our projects include:
• Assessing administrative barriers and legal risks to implementing sea level rise adaptation strategies
• Examining and addressing legal obstacles and opportunities and for climate resilient green infrastructure siting.
• Scoring water laws for climate resiliency in partnership with the Alliance for Water Efficiency.
• Promoting natural hazard mitigation planning by identifying opportunities for conservation and restoration in flood prone areas, and by fostering partnerships between hazard mitigation planners and wetland experts.
• Integrating climate change into existing laws in Kazakhstan.
