Helping Governments Create Resilient CommunitiesELI has worked with governments both locally and internationally to help governments navigate creating communities that are resilient to the effects of climate change.

 

Our projects include:

• Assessing administrative barriers and legal risks to implementing sea level rise adaptation strategies

 

• Examining and addressing legal obstacles and opportunities and for climate resilient green infrastructure siting

 

•  Scoring water laws for climate resiliency in partnership with the Alliance for Water Efficiency.

 

• Promoting natural hazard mitigation planning by identifying opportunities for conservation and restoration in flood prone areas, and by fostering partnerships between hazard mitigation planners and wetland experts.

• Integrating climate change into existing laws in Kazakhstan.
