Environmental Law Institute Welcomes Two New Members to its Leadership Council

(Washington, DC): The Environmental Law Institute (ELI) is delighted to announce two new members have joined its Leadership Council: E. Lynn Grayson and Elizabeth A. Malone. “We are so fortunate to have these outstanding women join the ranks of our Leadership Council,” said ELI Leadership Council Kathy Robb. “ELI’s vision is a healthy environment, prosperous economies, and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law. As esteemed thought-leaders in the field of environmental law and policy, these newest members will bring valuable guidance and expertise to our organization as we continue our path making law work for people, places, and the planet.”

  • Lynn Grayson recently joined the environmental law firm of Nijman Franzetti as a Partner. She is immediate past Chair of Jenner & Block's Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law Practice and is recognized as one of the country’s leading lawyers in environmental law. Ms. Grayson has significant experience defending against natural resource damage claims and performing environmental due diligence including water scarcity concerns. She also serves on ELI’s Board of Directors.
  • Liz Malone is Counsel with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates in Washington, DC, where she has represented clients in national and international environmental disputes and provided regulatory and compliance advice across a broad range of environmental topics. She has also advised on environmental issues in hundreds of transactions and represented clients undergoing bankruptcy proceedings with respect to the resolution of their environmental claims and liabilities. Ms. Malone is also a member of Skadden’s climate change practice, advising clients on the regulation of greenhouse gases, disclosure and transparency issues, and sustainability initiatives.

The ELI Leadership Council is the Institute’s group for the most prominent environment, energy, and natural resource leaders in the nation. The Council recognizes leaders for their commitment of resources and time to the Institute’s vision of a healthy environment, prosperous economies, and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law. Members participate in events and have a chance to network and engage other leaders in discussions about key environmental law and policy issues.
