ELI Welcomes New Vice President for Development Robbin Marks

November 2015
ELI’s current Vice President for Development, Marty Dickinson, will be retiring at the end of the year after over 14 years of dedicated service. Marty will be missed, to be sure. We began the process of finding a new Vice President for Development earlier this fall, and are delighted to announce that Robbin Marks, currently Director of Foundation Relations for the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington, D.C., will be joining us as ELI’s new Vice President for Development. Robbin brings ELI over thirty years of conservation leadership and a strong track record in corporate, government, and major donor fundraising. Prior to joining WRI, Robin was Vice President for Development Operations of American Rivers, where, under her leadership, foundation revenue grew significantly. Prior to leading development at American Rivers, Robbin served as Senior Director of Conservation Programs and directed the group’s Hydropower Reform Campaign. Previously she worked in the Natural Resources Defense Council’s sustainable agriculture, clean water, and wetlands protection programs and for the Maryland General Assembly’s Department of Fiscal Services. Robbin holds a B.S. from American University and an M.A. in Politics and Public Policy from Rutgers University’s Eagleton Institute of Politics. Robbin will join ELI on December 14, 2015. We are pleased to welcome her to the ELI family.
