Staying on top of the legal and policy developments in the PFAS arena is no small task. As a special service to our members, the Environmental Law Institute provides a series of webinars with authors of the PFAS Deskbook, James Pollack and Isabel Carey, and national experts on PFAS to keep you up to date, answer your questions, and highlight a unique topic related to PFAS during each session.

As concern builds about the health and environmental effects of PFAS in consumer products, apparel companies have turned to innovation in materials science to lessen adverse impacts. From durable water repellants that do not use fluorinated compounds to new uses of traditional materials, apparel companies are pioneering new methods to reduce the presence of PFAS. In this session, we will discuss the most recent advances in materials science and the future transition away from PFAS.

James Pollack, Partner, Marten Law, Moderator
Laura Hoch, Senior Material Innovation Engineer, Patagonia
