Natalie Triana joined the Environmental Law Institute as a Research Associate in July 2025. She currently works on ELI’s Platform to Protect Environmental Defenders, International Water Program, and the People, Places, Planet podcast. Prior to joining ELI as a full-time staff member, she interned with the organization in 2023, where she contributed to the California Tribe-State/Local Consultation Project and Climate Judiciary Project.


Natalie previously interned with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where she developed climate adaptation resources specific to Tribes and children’s health. She also interned with the U.S. Climate Alliance, where she tracked federal updates and provided research on resilience and clean energy topics. Natalie grew up in Miami, Florida, where she developed a passion for climate resilience and adaptation. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of Florida. During college, she was involved in environmental advocacy and led her local Climate Reality Project chapter.
