James R. Buckley served as Lockheed Martin’s chief environment, safety and health counsel, with a specialty in managing environmental and other complex litigation matters. His litigation practice included a variety of state, federal, and administrative forums, and he participated in the amicus curiae briefs filed by Lockheed Martin in two of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent CERCLA cases, Cooper Indus., Inc. v. Aviall Serv., Inc. and United States v. Atlantic Research Corp. He is admitted to practice before the State and Federal Courts in California and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Buckley’s previous experience includes work as a lawyer in a major firm in Los Angeles, and work in the chemical industry as a process development engineer. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the operator of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has a J.D. degree from the University of Southern California and a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester. He currently serves as a consultant with QLexConsulting.
