Emily Chen

Emily is a senior at Brown University, where she studies Environmental Studies with a focus in Environment and Inequality. Emily first became invested in environmental issues through learning about local environmental justice struggles in her hometown of Houston, Texas, and is interested in urban environmental justice issues and activism. She has worked on environmental education in formal and informal contexts, including researching and designing public programming at the Houston Botanic Garden and working as a Peer Advisor at the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society. After graduation, Emily hopes to continue her engagement with environmental justice efforts through environmental law and policy work.
