Cecilia Diedrich
Staff Attorney

Cecilia joined the Environmental Law Institute as a Staff Attorney in 2023. She currently leads ELI's plastics and toxics work. Before joining ELI, Cecilia was a litigator and policy advocate at Defenders of Wildlife, where she worked on wildlife and habitat conservation issues. While in law school, she clerked at Oceana, the Center for International Environmental Law, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Cecilia holds a J.D. with honors from The American University Washington College of Law, where she was the executive editor of the American University Law Review, and a B.A. with honors in political science and international relations from Marquette University.
