Alexandria Nelson

Program Director, Digital Economy and the Environment
Alexandria Nelson joined the Environmental Law Institute as the Program Director of the Digital Economy and Environment Program in 2025. She currently manages projects related to the environmental impact of data centers, AI, and other aspects of the digital economy.
Prior to joining ELI, Alexandria was a program lead at the United States Energy Foundation, where she led grantmaking, coalition management, and strategy development for the Clean Transportation and Fossil Energy programs.
Alexandria holds a Master's degree in Urban & Regional Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.S. In Environmental Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
