Rafael Andrés Pástor Vélez has been a partner of Noboa, Peña & Torres since 2019. He was previously a partner at Quevedo & Ponce and Pástor & Asociados. His practice is in environmental law, corporate and commercial law; mergers and acquisitions. He has a master's degree in business law from the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, a specialization in compliance from the George Washington University - GWU (Business School), as well as an Advanced Compliance Programme, organised by ADEN International Business School. He is a professor of environmental law at the School of Law and of environmental contingencies and due diligence at the School of Environmental Engineering of the Universidad de Especialidades Espiritu Santo. Currently, he is an officer of the EHS Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), of the Environmental Law Institute and of the evaluation committee of the Latin America Green Awards.
