Isabelle Smith

Law Clerk

Isabelle Smith is a law student at Georgetown University Law Center, completing her LL.M in Environmental and Energy Law on a Fulbright Scholarship, and working with the Georgetown Climate Center as a research assistant. She joined ELI in January 2019 as a Law Clerk for the Spring Semester. Isabelle received her Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honors and Bachelor of Science (Geography and Environmental Science) from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. She completed her final semester of undergraduate study at UC Berkeley as part of a study abroad program. Prior to moving to the U.S, Isabelle completed internships with EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services team and Community Law Canterbury, and served three years on the Executive of the University of Canterbury’s largest student organization, the Student Volunteer Army. She is also a Director and Co-founder of Necesse Limited, a social enterprise startup company based in New Zealand.
