Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

On April 20, 2010, the BP Deepwater Horizon blowout set off the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history. The spill has caused extensive personal, environmental, and economic injuries in the Gulf of Mexico region and beyond. The following pages attempt to provide basic information about the oil spill, its effects, and efforts to help the region recover.
