Protecting and Restoring Iconic Wetlands in Australia

From the mangroves and reefs of its coasts, to expansive ephemeral inland floodplains, and a
diversity of swamps, marshes, and streams, Australia’s wetlands provide significant economic,
environmental, and social value. In recent years, a number of innovative measures have been
implemented by governments and nongovernmental organizations to promote the conservation
