Effective: September 2007
Available: See reference in Ohio School Design Manual.

This Resolution of the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) establishes the LEED-Schools Silver-level criteria as the standard (and gold-level criteria as the goal) for projects participating in the OSFC’s programs. The Resolution states that the OSFC will pay the USGBC fees related to LEED registration and review, as well as a supplemental allowance to the project budget to support attaining LEED energy-related credits. The Resolution also directs the OSFC Executive Director to develop alternative financing options, such as pooled bonding authority, for districts to fund sustainable design features. The Resolution directs the Executive Director to modify the OSFC’s standard contract documents in order to facilitate implementation of the new high performance building criteria.
