Meet EPA Assistant Administrator of Enforcement Granta Nakayama

On January 20, 2006, the Environmental Law Institute hosted Granta Nakayama, EPA’s Assistant Administrator for the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. At EPA, Mr. Nakayama oversees and serves as the Administrator’s principal advisor on all matters concerning the Agency’s enforcement and compliance assurance program. Over lunch, Mr. Nakayama discussed current enforcement and compliance issues

Before joining EPA, Mr. Nakayama was a partner with the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, and served in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear propulsion program. He was also an Adjunct Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law.
