New Grant to Support Energy Efficiency Education in Mexico

ELI was recently awarded a grant  of $100,000 from the USAID Mexico Low Emissions Development program--via Tetra Tech--for “Building Capacity for Low Emissions Development in Municipal Governments in Mexico: Identifying and Enforcing the Applicable Legal Framework and Best Practices for Energy Efficiency in the Provision of Public Services.”  ELI will be educating municipal officials about how to use energy more efficiently in the areas of public lighting, water services, and waste management. The project should be completed by mid-August 2014.
