New Grant to Support Energy Efficiency Education in Mexico

ELI was recently awarded a grant  of $100,000 from the USAID Mexico Low Emissions Development program--via Tetra Tech--for “Building Capacity for Low Emissions Development in Municipal Governments in Mexico: Identifying and Enforcing the Applicable Legal Framework and Best Practices for Energy Efficiency in the Provision of Public Services.

Water Management in Post Conflict Countries Critical to Peace Building and Economic Recovery – New Study

In times of war, water resources and infrastructure are often destroyed or become inaccessible to large segments of people living in conflict areas. Restoring these critical services can avert humanitarian crises and rebuild state authority, according to a new study launched today by the Environmental Law Institute (ELI), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the University of Tokyo, McGill University, and Duke University.
