Executive Vice President and Co-General Counsel for Workforce Development, O’Brien & Gere Company, East Syracuse, NY

Usha Wright serves as O’Brien & Gere’s executive officer responsible for Human Resources and Human Resource legal matters, corporate programs, training, and communications. She also leverages her Co-General Counsel position by developing business relationships with environmental counsel offices of O’Brien & Gere’s key accounts. Previous to O’Brien & Gere, Ms. Wright served as a senior officer for nearly 20 years at Ciba Geigy and later as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Environmental Health & Safety at ITT. Ms. Wright is widely recognized as a high-profile environmental professional through her work with Ciba Geigy and ITT, as well as SHAREafrica, the Asian American Federation of NY, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association where she served as Director. Ms. Wright holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Rutgers University, an M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the University of North Carolina, and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
