Monthly Climate Change Briefing


NOTE: This series of briefings is available only to those who are ELI members by virtue of their organizations' support of the Institute. Staying on top of the legal and policy developments in the climate change arena is no small task. As a special service to our institutional members, the Environmental Law Institute provides a series of monthly conference calls with national experts on climate law and policy to keep you up to date and to answer your questions.

Topics addressed in this month's call:

  • Discussion of D.C. Circuit decision (March 1) In re: Polar Bear Endangered Species Act Listing
  • State updates: California's second carbon auction, the Boston sea-level rise report/Mayor Menino policy initiatives, Virginia passing changes to its gas tax, the campaign to repeal Virginia's RPS, and Governor Inslee's push for a climate bill in Washington State
  • Special guest Pat Dennis from Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, offered his thoughts on the California offsets case, Citizens Climate Lobby et al. v. California Air Resources Board.
