Can I attend the reception and dinner if I am not a member?

The 2010 Award Dinner and Reception are primarily MEMBERS ONLY (and their guests) events. Non-members may attend the events but must pay the appropriate non-member ticket price. To review the benefits of joining as an ELI member, please go HERE. Please see the Tickets page for purchase prices.

Is my organization an ELI member?

We are pleased to have many corporations, law firms, and public interest organizations as members of ELI. Check to see if your organization is listed on our Corporate, Professional, or Public Interest membership directories.

How do I become a member?

As noted above, you may join as an individual member and receive the member discount on your ticket(s). To sign up your organization in the Corporate, Professional, or Public Interest programs, contact Rebecca Leamon at 202-939-3823.

What is the date of the 2010 ELI Award Dinner?

The 2010 ELI Award Dinner will be on Tuesday, October 19, 2010.

What are the times and locations of the reception and dinner?

6:00 p.m. Reception (pre-paid dinner ticket required to attend)
7:15 p.m. Award Dinner (tickets need to be pre-paid)

Both events will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel (2500 Calvert Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20008) and are exclusively for those who have pre-paid tickets to the events.

I am a vegetarian. Can I request a vegetarian meal for dinner?

Yes! Please email us your name, the name of your organization, and your request for a vegetarian meal by October 5, 2010.

Where can I get information on the ELI-Miriam Hamilton Keare Policy Forum?

Each year the Environmental Law Institute-Miriam Hamilton Keare Policy Forum invites top experts in the fields of environmental law and policy to debate a current critical issue. This forum precedes the Award Dinner and Reception. Information on the event is HERE.

Where is my printed invitation?

Members will receive an electronic invitation in August.

How much are tickets?

Member and non-member ticket prices are noted on the Tickets page. In addition, members of the Corporate, Professional, or Public Interest programs may purchase tables for eight guests for $4,000. For information about the additional benefits of being a Star Sponsor of the event, contact Tess Doheny at 202-939-3820.

Can I purchase a ticket for the reception only?

No, the reception is ONLY for guests who have purchased tickets to the dinner.

How do I pay for tickets/tables?

Individual tickets may be purchased at the secure ELI Store. Table purchasers should contact Marcia McMurrin for invoicing and other information.

Will I receive a ticket in the mail?

No, when you arrive you will receive a pre-printed name badge that serves as your entrance pass to the Reception and Award Dinner.

Can I buy a ticket at the door?

No, all tickets and tables must be purchased and paid for by October 5, 2010. No tickets will be available at the door.

How do I submit the names of my guest(s)?

Send an email to [please check back later for contact]. Be sure to include the name(s) and affiliation(s) of your guest(s). Remember that all tables accommodate only eight guests.

How many individual tickets to be seated together can a member buy?

You may purchase as many tickets as you like, but we can only guarantee that four will be seated together at a table.

What if I have to cancel my tickets?

All cancellations received by ELI by October 5, 2010 will be refunded in full. After that date, no refunds will be issued. However, the full amount may be considered a tax-deductible, charitable contribution to ELI.

Does ELI have a room block at the Omni Shoreham Hotel?

A limited number of rooms will be available to guests of ELI at the Omni Shoreham hotel. To take advantage of these discounted rooms, you may call the Omni Shoreham Hotel directly at 202-234-0700 or 1-800-444-OMNI, or visit their website for the event. When calling, be sure to mention that you are with the Environmental Law Institute to receive the discounted rate. Please note that you or your guests will be responsible for the payment of your room, taxes, and incidental charges. NOTE: You must book by Oct. 7, 2010 to receive the special rate.

Is there parking at the Omni Shoreham hotel?

Valet parking is available for $18. There is no self-parking at this venue.
