ELI recently held its Ninth Annual Western Boot Camp
on Environmental Law® on March 13-15, 2013, at Reed Smith LLP in San Francisco, CA.
ELI’s Annual Western Boot Camp on Environmental Law® is an overview of environmental law from the top experts in the field. Boot Camp is designed primarily for attorneys and environmental managers new to environmental law, although more experienced professionals have found the course provides an efficient update as well. While the course has a strong legal focus, it is accessible to professionals other than lawyers, including corporate environmental managers, paralegals, and technical staff who would benefit from a more thorough understanding of environmental law.
ELI’s Western Boot Camp on Environmental Law® is led by carefully selected senior practitioners and environmental managers who provide a practical and pragmatic view of environmental law and policy issues likely to be encountered by those working in the field. This year’s topics included sessions on: the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, project development and NEPA, renewable energy, environmental liability in business, CERCLA, RCRA, criminal enforcement, environmental ethics, chemicals regulation, and a discussion of recent developments in climate change.
Here is what recent participants have said about Boot Camp:
“Really valuable program... lots of material covered quickly and effectively”
“Very impressive and interesting faculty. Not only were the speakers highly knowledgeable, but they were also, for the most part, engaging presenters. Good mix of private practitioners, government lawyers, and enforcers.”
“I have been very impressed. I learned a great deal in a short time. Most of the speakers were very engaging and motivational.”
Please note: ELI's Boot Camp on Environmental Law® is available only to the member firms and organizations of ELI’s Professional, Corporate, and Public Interest Programs and to individual ELI Associates Program members. Membership status must be current through the month of the course. We encourage early enrollment as space is limited.
