The major focus of ELI’s 40th Anniversary celebration is our two-phase campaign to create a $5 million New Vision and Future Challenges Fund. The fund will help ELI to develop new environmental law, policy and management solutions that address major challenges the world is facing. Generous financial support from our many friends and partners is essential to the success of this campaign. View ELI’s 40th Anniversary pledge.

Phase One

The New Vision – $500,000 in New Funds by the End of 2010

The financial goal of the New Vision phase of the campaign is to raise $500,000 in unrestricted support over and above current funding. We will invest this in developing the most promising programs in environmental law, policy, and management to address current major new environmental challenges and anticipated challenges of coming decades. The Institute expects to complete this first phase of the campaign by 2010.

Phase Two

Future Challenges – An Additional $4.5 Million in New Funds by 2013

The financial goal of the Future Challenges phase of the campaign is to raise $4.5 million over and above current funding. This will be used to launch the new programs verified and developed in Phase One.
