Edward L. Strohbehn Jr. focuses his practice on environmental compliance, permitting, enforcement and business planning. His practice includes: complex and novel contaminated site remediation matters; climate change/greenhouse gas regulatory actions; corporate stock and asset acquisition environmental issues; environmental enforcement actions by federal and California environmental agencies; and federal and state legislative and regulatory electronic waste recycling programs. His legal career covers substantial government and public interest sector experience. He co-founded and served as an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) (1970-1977). He was Executive Director of the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), Executive Office of the President, during the Carter Administration (1977-1981). In 2010, he was named a leading lawyer in environmental law in Best Lawyers in America and was listed in the Best of the Best USA 2008 Expert Guide. He has received three degrees from Yale University: Bachelor of Arts; Bachelor of Engineering; and Master of Arts. He received a Bachelor of Laws degree from Yale University Law School.
